A VISION COME TO LIFE:
CASUAL FINE DINING IN TUCSON’S BARRIO VIEJO

5 Points, a remarkable restaurant housed in a historic brick warehouse at Tucson’s most iconic intersection, was opened in January 2014 by Jasper Ludwig and Brian Haskins. The pair had been managing and innovating in other restaurants, and saw an opportunity to create a different and more equitable dining experience - one that prioritizes living wages, local and organic food, and warm hospitality.

Within a month of opening, with word of mouth as the only form of advertising, people were driving from all over the valley for delicious, organic, locally sourced food and drink. The New York Times, National Geographic, Bon Appétit, Sunset Magazine, Phoenix New Times, and Arizona Highways drove traffic from around the country and around the world.

Owners Jasper Ludwig & Brian Haskins now split time between Tucson and Maine, where they opened their second restaurant, The Alna Store, in 2022. The Alna Store has grown immensely and become a media darling, having been recognized by The Beard Foundation and NYT Top 50 - and 5 Points has continued to be a pillar of quality and excellence in Tucson, a wonderful beacon of warm hospitality, ambience, ethos, and excellence in our beautiful desert town.

With a kitchen led by Chef Savanah Sandate, an outstanding cocktail program from Christopher Moreno, and wines and hospitality curated by Katie Rozzell, 5 Points delivers organic, regionally sourced, and sustainably farmed food to the table along with stunning examples of terroir and human-scale production. Nothing is ordinary, and everything is wonderful.

5 Points has a menu that changes with the seasons, though some dishes remain the same. An iconic, world-famous plate of huevos rancheros or the smoked-beet sandwich at brunch are legendary and foundational dishes in the 5 Points repertoire. At night, housemade pastas, sustainable seafood, and locally sourced organic proteins shine amid seasonal vegetal small plates, salads, and elevated takes on nostalgic cravings.

5 Points also offers a full espresso bar, house-made baked goods and breads, and a small curated wine shop so you can take home a treasure for later.

As 5 Points grows and evolves, and members of the team move on to new ventures near and far, there is immense pride in the dispersal of philosophy, dedication to sourcing, and mentorship that will continue to have a positive impact on the livelihoods of farmers and industry professionals throughout the West and beyond.

The guests and community around 5 Points are a huge part of the restaurant’s evolution, continued success, and dedication to excellence. None of this is possible without community.
